The Annual Woodhaven Scholarship Golf Tournament is coming up Sept. 20. Over the past decade we have raised and donated some $140,000 to east side high school seniors to help them further their education. We have big goals for this years tournament and could certainly use your help. If you''d like more information about the tournamet just click the photo below. We encourage you to support the Tournament. Come play if you can. Better yet, put a foursome together. Even if you don't play you can still help by sponsoring a hole or by buying a raffle ticket.

Speaking of the raffle we have some great prizes this year including a big scree hi-def TV, a Blue-Ray player and more. To buy a raffle ticket please contact Gary Johnansen, Joe Epps or Peggy. To download a sponsorship form click here. If you'd like to play you can download a pdf of the player sign up sheet by clicking this link.

Sept 21st is our September meeting. Still no decision on the itnenerary but we should have a decision soon.

October 19 is the final neighborhood meeting of 2010. Last year we had a Business to Business Expo and if we can find someone to help put it together we may do that again. Again, we'll let you know soon.

In other news the Parole Office that was slated to be built here in Woodhaven will not be. Thanks to the efforts of our own Nita Sisul and all of you who signed the petition and especially to Mayor Pro Tem Danny Scarth the State of Texas is building the Parole Office in an industrial park off highway 287.
If you're looking for a good deal from an electric provider we hope you'll check out AMBIT Energy. They have very competitive rates and if you sign up online thru http://wna.joinambit.com.WNA gets a small $4.00 a month commission. Or you can call Elizabeth Olivia at 817-925-5898 and tell her you'd like to sign up for their electric service and support Woodhaven Neighborhood Association.

Thanks.
