SUPPORT THE TROOPS

 

 

  We would like to thank everyone for their generosity at the 4th of July Celebration. The kissing booth, raffle, putting challenge, quarter toss and pie contest raised over $700 and there is a good chance Wal-Mart will match it. We’re going to use the money to send  Care Packages to Woodhaven residents stationed overseas and to troops who have family in Woodhaven.

  If you have a family member serving in Iraq or Afghanistan please email their name and contact information to Vicki Zangara who is heading up our Support the Troops committee. Her e-mail address is:  v.zangara@sbcglobal.net. Vicki is forming her committee now so if you'd like to help us help the troops then please contact her or come to our first volunteer meeting set for six pm Tuesday, August 12th at the Woodhaven Country Club. We need your support to identify troop recipients, buy the items for the care packages, box them up and ship them out so please join us.

  The other event coming up is the semi-annual meeting on August 19th. We encourage you to attend to find out more about the status of the Association and also to get your new directory which will be available for the first time at that meeting.
 
  And finally Tom Reddick, our web administrator, has added the Classified Page  to the web site so if you have anything you'd like to sell please fill out the form and Tom will post it for you.
